There are students across NSW and ACT who are one small act of generosity away from staying in school. Some need a mentor who has walked a path they're trying to imagine. Some need a familiar face at an event, or a professional who will give them an hour of honest conversation about what a career can look like.
Some students need a consistent presence: someone who checks in, listens, and helps them think through the moments that feel too big to navigate alone. Mentoring is a genuine commitment and one of the most profound ways to be part of a student's story.
Our events bring students, supporters, and the broader community together. Behind every gathering is a team of volunteers who make it feel welcoming. If you enjoy people and don't mind a busy room, we'd love to have you.

Opening your workplace to a group of students changes the way they see their future. An hour in your building, your studio, your kitchen, or your office makes a career feel real in a way that no classroom can replicate. We coordinate everything. You just open the door.
If speaking feels more your speed, a webinar or workshop works just as well. Students weighing up their futures benefit enormously from hearing real people talk honestly about their working lives. Your story could be the one that helps a young person see what's possible.
If you have skills in administration, communications, finance, or law, pro bono support is one of the most meaningful ways to give. Time spent on the things that keep us running is time we can spend on the students who need us.

We welcome interns from university and TAFE programmes who want to build real experience in the not-for-profit sector. Whether your interests are in communications, fundraising, student services, or operations, we'll give you meaningful work and genuine mentorship.
