Justine came to us with her future already mapped out by someone else. Family expectations had drawn a narrow path, and she wasn't sure she had permission to step off it. Then she did.
Family expectations had her feeling boxed in. But after taking part in career sampling, excursions and mentoring, her perspective changed. She’s now interested in fashion, textiles and aeronautical engineering.
Other students have explored careers in:
Medical research
Journalism
Gaming and robotics
Sports psychology
Small business ownership
Criminology
Dentistry
Politics
Biomedical engineering
Logistics
…and many more!
Justine is following what she is passionate about now. That shift didn't happen by accident. It happened because someone made it possible.
“If you had asked me what I looked for most in a career two years ago, I would have told you that I’d want a wealthy job so that I could take care of myself. Now, while I understand that money is a key aspect of choosing a future career, it is not the only determining factor.”
“Instead of pursuing my parents’ dreams, you have encouraged me to follow what I’m passionate in.”
